WLT about the director

As an ordained pastor with the Great Commission Association of Churches Darryl Phillips has helped many find meaning and purpose in life by helping them develop a deep and abiding relationship with God. His passion is to help people grow increasingly more intimate with Christ so that they will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:19)

Combining over twenty years of pastoral ministry with a lifetime of outdoor training Darryl has found a perfect compliment in his love for the wilderness and his love for helping people discover depth and richness in their relationship with the Lord.

Darryl has trained with Tom Brown’s Tracker School, one of the world’s foremost wilderness survival schools. He has also received training in Wilderness First-aid from SOLO, a leader in remote wilderness first-aid.

Darryl and Cheryl reside in Columbus, Ohio with their three children, Nicole, Alyssa, and David.
